By using Proanauta ("the app"), you agree to these terms.

1. What Proanauta is

Proanauta is a nautical navigation calculator designed for educational purposes and navigation support. It provides calculation tools, visual references, and practice exercises.

2. Navigation safety

Proanauta is an educational and calculation aid. It is NOT a substitute for proper navigation equipment, official nautical charts, or good seamanship.

Always verify calculations independently before making navigation decisions
Always carry and use official, up-to-date nautical charts
Always maintain a proper lookout and follow COLREGS/RIEAM
The app may contain errors — double-check all results
Never rely solely on any app for navigation safety

We are not responsible for any navigation decisions made based on the app's calculations or content.

3. Accuracy

We strive to ensure all formulas and references are accurate. However:

Formulas are based on standard navigation teaching materials
IALA, COLREGS/RIEAM and other references are summarized for education and may not reflect the latest amendments
Tide calculations use the Rule of Twelfths approximation, not official tide tables
The app does not replace official publications (Nautical Almanac, Tide Tables, Lists of Lights, etc.)

4. Your use

You may use Proanauta for personal, educational, and navigation support purposes. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or redistribute the app outside official stores.

5. Purchases

Free version: basic calculators with ads (Google AdMob)
Premium: one-time purchase or annual subscription, removes ads, unlocks all features
Purchases processed by Apple or Google, subject to their refund policies
We do not process payments directly

6. Intellectual property

The Proanauta name, logo, and design are owned by us. Navigation formulas and public domain reference data are not claimed as proprietary.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: the app is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for damages from app use, including navigation errors, data loss, or device issues. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the app.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lisbon.
